Bringing in Christmas early, Ben Haenow has treated his fans to a special festive video!
With the help of his brother Alex and the PPA Academy, Ben recently performed his very own rendition of ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ by Slade. The X Factor champion uploaded the brilliant new cover onto YouTube yesterday afternoon.
It’s certainly not the first time that Ben has shared a stage with his older brother Alex. The siblings used to be in a band called The Lost Audio together and Alex has been rocking out as Ben’s guitarist for several years. Talent clearly runs in the family.
The PPA Academy, on the other hand, are a leading performing arts college based in Guildford. Their theatre training programme has been recognised as one of the best in the country and you can view more details here on their official website.
Sharing his new Slade cover on Facebook, Ben Haenow said: “Hey Y’all xx Get in the Christmas spirit with me and my mates from PPA Academy Guilford and have a sing along with us… heres our cover of the Slade classic xxx”
From the positive response online, it’s safe to say that Ben’s loyal Haeniacs are loving his new video. We’re not surprised because it truly is a fantastic collaboration.
It’s not the first Christmas classic that Ben Haenow has sung. Fans may remember that he covered ‘Please Come For Christmas’ by The Eagles on The X Factor and he’s recently been performing the track at various Christmas light switch-on events.
All in all, 2016 has been a successful year for Ben Haenow. The Croydon-born singer completed his very first headline tour in April and his debut album has now been certified gold in both the UK and South Africa. Congratulations are also in order because Ben recently got engaged to his long-term girlfriend Jessica Jones.
